ROYAL GUARD

 PARKING

Parking is a subdivision of the Royal Guard ministry in Immanuel's Church. It is no lesser nor higher than any other branches in the ministry because all subdivisions have one common goal, glorify the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, parking plays a very important role in the ministry. It gives the saints the very first impression of what Immanuel's Church is all about.

Greeting the saints, while directing them to the available parking lot/spaces is one of the parking ministry’s top priorities.

Any male in the Royal Guard may be called upon to help in the parking lots on occasion.

The parking assignments are as follows:

1- Special Events

2- Sunday Morning

a) Removing the cones

b) Guiding the traffic

Immanuel's Church has nine different parking lots.

Seven are known as finished parking lots, while two are useable but considered unfinished.

Special Events

On special events, besides when Montgomery County officials are directing the traffic on New Hampshire Ave., extra parking attendants are needed to help inside the church parking lots.

 Sunday Morning

At 10:20, the parking attendant for the 8:20 service should be there so that he can remove the cones from the curb except those parallel to Lot 3. (THESE ARE REMOVED LATER) To ensure that the saints who wish to use the southside of that lot can do so safely.

Ten (10) cones must be left in place until 11:15 starting at the Lot 5 entrance. When everything is in proper order, after that time, the saints may be directed to the lower level empty lots and the ten cones left there should be removed.

Placing the Parking Cones - (Currently - Church Security Places Cones)

Where Cones Are Placed.

The cones have to be placed in each parking space at the following locations:

  1. Along the southside of the church starting from the main entrance (New Hampshire Avenue) to the entrance of Peach Orchard Lot.
  2. One cone should be placed next to Pastor Charles' parking space. (For Pastor Dotty)
  3. Another cone is placed at the entrance of the parking spaces in front of the old building. (Outside of Pastor Charles' office)
  4. One more cone should be placed in the first parking space on the left side in parking lot #2

Why Put Out Cones?

The cones are placed out to prevent traffic jams from occurring on New Hampshire Avenue. This helps keep the traffic moving in our lots between services.

Rear Lot (New Hampshire Avenue Entrance)

    1. Secure boundary cones.
    2. Using boundary cones mark off:
    1. Assist congregation and members.
    2. Issue parking reminders appropriately.
